This is the largest instrument ever built by the famous 18th-century London organ builder Samuel Green, making its first appearance on CD following careful restoration in 1997 by David Wells. The Chapel's former Director of Music, Nicholas Johnson, plays works by Bach, Sweelinck, Couperin, Boyce, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Vierne, Karg-Elert and Whitlock. The CD booklet includes notes on the building, the organ, the organist and the music.
